From the designation of Tata’s ₹91,000 crore Dholera mega-fab as a Special Economic Zone in April 2026 to the rollout of commercial packaging from Micron’s Sanand facility earlier this year, the ₹1.64 lakh crore India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) is officially transitioning from legislative policy to commercial chip production.
