These Terms govern your use of the Newslyfe Press platform, including all publishing tools, APIs, and related services. They apply to all users — readers, contributors, and editors alike.
By continuing to use Newslyfe Press after any update to these Terms, you accept the updated version in full.

Platform Role
Newslyfe Press provides publishing infrastructure. We build and maintain the tools that allow contributors to create and distribute content. We are a platform, not a publisher.
Contributors are solely responsible for the content they publish on Newslyfe Press. The platform provides publishing tools and does not editorially review content prior to publication.
This distinction is fundamental. Newslyfe Press does not endorse, verify, or vouch for any user-generated content. The responsibility for accuracy, legality, and ethics lies entirely with the publishing contributor.

User Responsibilities
As a registered user of Newslyfe Press, you agree to the following obligations:
- You are at least 18 years of age or have obtained verifiable parental consent.
- The information provided during registration is accurate and complete.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You will not share account access with any third party.
- You will comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction when publishing content.
- You will not use the platform in any manner that disrupts or degrades service for others.

Content Ownership
You retain full ownership of all content you publish on Newslyfe Press. We do not claim authorship or ownership over your work.
By publishing content on Newslyfe Press, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store, distribute, and make available your content as part of the platform's normal operation.
This licence is limited to the operation of the platform. We will not sell, sublicence, or otherwise commercialise your content without your explicit written consent. You may remove your content at any time, which will terminate this licence for future distribution.

Prohibited Use
The following activities are strictly prohibited on Newslyfe Press and will result in immediate enforcement action:
- Publishing hate speech, content inciting violence, or material that discriminates on grounds of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.
- Deliberately spreading false or misleading information, including fabricated quotes, statistics, or events.
- Infringing third-party copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
- Impersonating other individuals, organisations, or official bodies.
- Engaging in coordinated inauthentic behaviour, including operating multiple accounts for manipulation.
- Scraping, crawling, or otherwise extracting platform data by automated means without explicit written permission.
- Attempting to circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security or access control mechanism.
You may not use automated systems or AI tools to generate or distribute misleading, manipulative, or harmful content. AI-assisted content must be disclosed in accordance with our Editorial Code.

Moderation
Newslyfe Press operates an active moderation programme. Content may be reviewed at any time — before or after publication — by our editorial and trust & safety teams.
We reserve the right to remove, restrict, or delist any content or account at our sole discretion, including without prior notice or stated reason.
Where possible, we will notify affected contributors of moderation actions and provide an opportunity to appeal. However, in cases involving imminent harm or severe policy violations, immediate action without notification may be taken.

Account Management
Newslyfe Press may take the following actions with respect to any user account:
- Issue a formal warning for first or minor violations.
- Temporarily suspend account access for repeated or serious violations.
- Permanently terminate an account for severe, repeated, or irredeemable violations.
- Restrict publishing capabilities without full suspension where appropriate.
- Remove or archive content associated with a terminated account.

Liability Disclaimer
Newslyfe Press is a publishing platform. We provide the infrastructure — not the content. Accordingly, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or legality of any user-generated content published on this platform.
Newslyfe Press shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or from any content published on it. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and display a notice on the platform for at least 30 days.
Continued use of Newslyfe Press after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must discontinue use of the platform and may close your account.

Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws and international legal principles, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts as determined by applicable law and international standards.
