Writing as a Guest
Open the Newsroom and start writing immediately — no account required. The system automatically identifies you as a guest based on your device.
Type your title, write your content, and you are set. The system creates a Guest ID in the background so you can work without interruption.

Select a category, set the country and language, upload images and add video links. Your draft is saved automatically — no action needed on your part.

Privacy & Autosave
Articles created in guest mode are private by default. They appear in your own feed and Newsroom view, but no one else can see them.
Guest articles are not visible on:
- The public homepage
- Country-specific news feeds
- Category pages
- Search engines
Automatic saving
Your article is saved every 30 seconds. Visual indicators show the current save state — "Saving..." or "Saved" — so you always know where things stand. Drafts can be resumed on the same device and browser.
How long are guest articles kept?
Content created without an account is stored for up to 30 days. Access is tied to the device and browser used to create it.

Category & Country
Every article requires both a category and a country before it can be submitted.
- Category (required): choose from 14 topics — the list may expand over time.
- Country (required): the article is placed into that country's news feed.
- If a country has minority-language readers, an article written in that language will be visible to them as well.

Media
You can attach a cover image and inline images throughout your article.
- Maximum 2 MB per image — JPG, PNG, and WebP formats are supported.
- Up to 20 images in total as a guest. Registered authors have a significantly higher limit.
- Images are automatically optimised for fast loading.
- Video embedding: paste a YouTube or Vimeo link and the system embeds it automatically. No file upload required, and there is no limit on the number of videos.

Data Security
Newslyfe Press automatically removes hidden location data (EXIF metadata) from every uploaded image.
No one can determine where a photo was taken from the file itself — only from what you choose to write in your article.

Registration
You can create a free Newslyfe Press account at any time. The system recognises your previous guest content and links it to your new account automatically.
- Access your articles from multiple devices.
- Content syncs across phone, tablet, and desktop.
- Previous guest articles are permanently attached to your account.
- You receive a personal author ID and long-term access.
- Articles can be edited, managed, and submitted for editorial review.
Registration alone does not mean your articles are published automatically. New accounts start with Prospect status. Public visibility requires editorial review and compliance with community guidelines.

Editorial Review
As a registered user you can submit articles for editorial review. All submitted content goes through a moderation and editorial process.
Review process
What happens after submission
Newly registered users start as Prospect. Submitted articles enter Pending Review — not yet public, visible only to editors. The article is temporarily locked and cannot be edited during review.
If accepted
- The article becomes public.
- It may appear on the homepage, country feeds, and category pages.
- It becomes available via RSS and to search engines.
If rejected
- The article returns to editable Draft status.
- The lock is removed.
- You can revise and resubmit at any time.
Newslyfe Press uses a multi-tier authorship and editorial system to maintain quality and safety. Higher author statuses unlock additional publishing rights over time.

Newslyfe Press tracks every article through a clear set of statuses so authors and editors always know where a piece stands.

Author Roles
Newslyfe Press uses a multi-tier role system that reflects each user's activity and trust level.
Starting role
Prospect
Newly registered users with basic permissions. Can write drafts and submit articles for editorial review.
Active author
Contributor
An established author who submits articles regularly. May gain additional publishing permissions over time.
Editorial access
Editor
Has editorial permissions — can review, approve, and reject submitted articles on the platform.

Moderation
While the platform is built on freedom of expression, content is moderated to maintain safety and sustainability.
- Spam & abuse: AI-generated spam, promotional flooding, and fraudulent content are prohibited.
- Illegal content: hate speech, incitement, and any illegal material result in immediate removal and a permanent ban.
- Report: readers can flag articles that violate community guidelines — moderators review all reports.
- Right to moderate: Newslyfe Press reserves the right to remove any content that violates community guidelines.
