What is xAI Grok?

Grok is the AI model built by xAI, Elon Musk's AI company. What makes Grok unique is its real-time access to the web and X (Twitter) data — it's aware of breaking news as it happens. Quick Start

Go to xAI Console

Open console.x.ai and sign in with your X (Twitter) account.

Create an API key

Go to API Keys → Create API Key. Name it (e.g. "NewsLyfe") and copy the key.

Add payment method

Go to Billing and add a card. xAI offers $25 in free credits per month for API usage.

Add to NewsLyfe

Open NewsLyfe → Settings → AI → Select Grok. Paste your API key and save.

Troubleshooting

401

Unauthorized

Invalid or expired API key. Regenerate your key at console.x.ai and update it in NewsLyfe Settings.

429

Rate Limit

Free tier has rate limits. If you're hitting them frequently, check your usage in the xAI console.

Credits Exhausted

Your $25 monthly free credits ran out. Credits reset at the start of the next billing month, or add a payment method to continue immediately.

API Key Security

🔒

Stored locally. Your key is saved only on your device and sent directly to xAI's servers. NewsLyfe never stores it.

Easy to rotate. If your key is compromised, generate a new one in the xAI Console and update it in NewsLyfe Settings.
