What is the Measurement tool?
The measurement tool lets you measure distance and area directly on the map — useful for gauging range, proximity between two points, or the size of an affected area.
How to measure

Open the measurement tool
Tap the measurement icon in the map toolbar to start a new measurement.

Tap points on the map
Each tap adds a point to your measurement line. Add as many points as you need to trace a route or outline an area.

Read the result
The total distance (or area, for a closed shape) updates live as you add points. The nearest named place is shown for reference.
